Job Summary
The City of Sioux Falls Health Department is accepting applications for a part-time Coding Technician for Falls Community Health. This position is a maximum of 28 hours per week, M-F, based on the clinic needs.
The Coding Technician evaluates the medical record and electronic coding to ensure documentation accurately reflects patient visit and services rendered. They ensure compliance with coding regulations. The coder can also provide technical guidance to medical providers and department staff. They review Medicaid, Medicare, hospital charges and third-party insurance claims before submission.
Duties may also include other billing office tasks as necessary.
Qualifications & Skills
The qualified applicant must be detail oriented and ability to maintain confidentially and discretion.
Applicants must be able to pass the City’s background check and drug screening.
